DSSC June 4 Development Meet Results & Thank Yous!

June 6, 2022

It was amazing to see so many big drops in the 200 IM at this past Saturday morning's DSSC June 4 Development Meet.  With 40 DSSC athletes competing and showcasing their newest skills and racing toughness it was great to see such a turnout.

The club's Development Meet series gives swimmers who are not regionally qualified (4:00.00 200 IM) the chance to compete in a low stress, fun environment. These meets are for every swimmer in the Learn to Compete and Regional groups as well as specific swimmers in the Novice groups.  The ultimate goal of these meets is to progress to swimming full 100 IM's, followed by achieving 2:10.00 100 IM's to swim the 200 IM, and then achieving the regional time of 4:00.00 in the 200m event to swim in LMR and Invitational meets across the Lower Mainland Region.

**The Impr (+/-) column of the results indicates improvement from their recorded personal bests.  If the result indicates "--" it means this is their first time swimming it.

Thank you to all the parents and volunteers who came out to help with the meet.  We cannot do it without you!

Our next club event is the June 18th Fun Meet and Pancake Breakfast!  Everyone, from every group is invited to participate.  We will be holding a breakfast following the meet in the courtyard of the pool.  Come out, and have a great time.  We are still looking for cooks, and volunteers for the meet.  Signups are open!
