December swimmer of the month

January 7, 2025

Hello and happy 2025! Flashing back to 2024 we ended the year with alot of great meets, many new personal best times, club records, new time standards and just overall amazing swimming. December saw our team race at pass meet #2, our club hosted a distance lmr, spartans santa lmr, the december fun meet and we capped off the month in richmond at fast swim. The first four months of this season have seen so much improvement and growth in the club and we are so impressed!

The coaches are excited to announce.....

Swimmer of the month for December

Learn to compete: Sammie Lee

Sammie really began to crush her sets in the month of December. The focus, effort and improvements were amazing. Sammie has moved into the novice group and it was the perfect way to cap off her time in the learn to compete groups. Congrats on your hard work this month!

Learn to compete Gold: Tanroop Bihal

Swimmer of the Month goes to Tanroop Bihal for all of her recent effort on her technique, especially in butterfly. Tanroop is focused in practice and takes feedback to heart always trying to improve, that quality will take her far!

Novice: Andrew Zhang

Andrew has come a long way since joining Novice at the start of the season. He keeps a great attitude towards improving and always trying his best at practice. His effort towards change is the reason he won for the Month of December.

Regional: Robby Dhaliwal

Robby achieved his LMR qualifying time of 4:00.00 in the 200m IM at our December Fun meet. His hard work in practice has paid off as now he will get the opportunity to compete at LMR Swim meets.

Junior Blue & White: Nivil Ponnanna

This month’s swimmer of the month goes to Nivil Ponnanna.  His improvement over the last 4 months has been tremendous and the coaching staff has been so happy with the way he has learned new skills and then implemented them in practice.

Nivil’s hard work and hustle in practice has allowed him to make remarkable improvements in his training paces.  We are excited to see what those new skills and great training bring him at his swim meets in January.

Senior White: Tiger Du

Swimmer of the Month goes to Tiger Du for his work ethic in practice and his performance at recent meets. He takes on every challenge given to him and gives it his all no matter the circumstances.

Senior Blue & Gold: Avery Goksel
