New Olympic Trials Qualifying Times and Top 8 Finishes at BC Winter Provincial Championships
The Delta Sungod Swim Club were 20th at this Winter’s BC Provincial Swimming Championships. It was a great showing by the club and this was all due to the great morning swims that were had by team members. Morning, or preliminary swims are important extremely important. They allow swimmers to qualify for the finals (or top 8) in their event. It is during finals that swimmers are awarded a second chance at their swim and the opportunity to score points for their teams. When swimmers are not sharp in the morning they will sometimes miss out on finals.
Delta Sungod swimmers definitely capitalized on their success during the morning with some outstanding evening swims.
