Results from Provincials - Victoria

This past weekend (March 5 to 9, 2026) saw 4 Delta swimmers compete at the BC Winter Provincial Championships at the Saanich Commonwealth Place in Victoria. Rachel Liu, Madelyn Paredes Troughton, Theo Wong and Emma Zhang represented out club with pride in what was probably the fastest Provincial Championships that I've ever taken part in. Times that would have won medals in past years, saw swimmers not even able to break into the top 8 to swim finals.  For Rachel and Theo, this was their first ever experience competing at the Provincial Championships level. For Emma and Maddy, well they've been to more than a few.

Results:

Rachel Liu: 12th 200 free, 9th 100 back, 11th 200 back, 16th 100 free, 16th 50 back

Maddy PT: 9th 200 breast, 32nd 100 fly, 17th 400 IM, 9th 200 fly, 5th 100 breast, 26 200 IM, 5th 50 breast

Theo Wong: 9th 100 back, 12th 200 back, 15th 50 back

Emma Zhang: 18th 200 breast, 16th 50 free, 20th 100 fly, 20th 200 free, 14th 50 fly, 16th 100 free, 10th 200 fly, 28th 200 IM, 15th 400 free
