Swim Clinic and Classroom with an Olympian!

Kierra Smith, two-time Olympian, is coming to Sungod on Monday, May 22! This is your swimmer's chance to meet and be trained by an elite swimmer and mentor. We are working with Head to Head's Olympian led mentorship program for this event.

The session with Kierra Smith will have two parts:

1. Pool: Kierra will be hands-on in working with the swimmers on specific skills (chosen by coaches) for two hours; this session is limited to 16 swimmers
   • Pool time is 3:30-5:30pm
   • Swimmers should be on deck at 3:15pm to activate
2. Classroom: Kierra will give a 20 min talk, with 15 min for questions, and 25 min photos / autographs. This session is open to all swimmers.
   • Classroom time is 5:45-6:45pm in the Sungod Arena room

Your swimmer has two options to participate:

• Two hours in the pool PLUS one hour in the classroom - $165
  • 02 May update: the pool session is full - any new requests will be wait-listed 
• One hour in the classroom only - $20
  • 07 May update: the classroom session is full - any new requests will be wait-listed 

We have also invited the Winskill Dolphin Swim Club (WDSC) to participate so spots are limited, especially the pool option. Note that only DSSC and WDSC swimmers can register and participate. Parents are welcome to watch the pool session from the lobby and come in to take photos during the last half of the classroom session.

Details and to reserve your swimmer's spot:

• Registration opens on 12 Apr at 9am. When you declare attendance for your swimmer(s), type POOL or CLASSROOM in the notes; if you don't specify, we'll register your swimmer for the classroom option only.
• We'll create a wait list once the spots are filled and will contact you if a space opens up
• All registered accounts will be charged on 08 May - no refunds after that point (except with a doctor's note)
• By participating, you agree your swimmer may appear or be named for promotional purposes including photos and/or videos taken during the session (by DSSC, WDSC, Head to Head, or local media)
• Ensure your swimmer brings their usual training gear (for those in the pool session) and wears their team shirt/hoodie (for all swimmers.)

2X Olympian Kierra Smith is a breaststroke specialist and competed at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Games. She was a finalist in the 200M breaststroke at the Rio 2016 Games after winning Gold at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games. She has also won several medals at the FINA World Championships and Commonwealth Games. She attended the University of Minnesota where she helped them win three straight Big Ten Championships. She retired after the Tokyo 2020 games and currently resides in Kelowna.
